GAMEPLAY VIDEO

This is a gameplay video showing the mechanics of BeeBee.

INFO

BeeBee was made in the Unity engine as a part of a team. Similar to a game jam, each team had 5 days to create a game based around the theme 'Extinction'. Due to the time sensitive nature of the project, our team decided to make a 2D game as we felt we would be able to do more with the project.

The game is score-driven, encouraging the player to keep playing to beat their previous score. As the game progresses the quantity and types of enemies change to increase difficulty.

MY ROLE

Five people were part of the development team for BeeBee, each person taking on a unique role. I was the Programming Lead and Design Assistant which meant I helped come up with gameplay ideas such as enemy types, power-ups and how the player would move around. I also implemented and coded all of these in Unity C#. I also created the UI for the game that allows players to see their current health, score and also replay the game when they lose.

I was responsible for creating how BeeBee played, the enemy behaviours, the increasing difficulty and the power-ups, while other team members focused on the art style, sourcing audio and the production.
